Dr. Knox Attends Mayo Course About the Elbow

Rochester, Minn. - Dr. Thomas E. Knox of Regional Orthopaedic Health Care in Mountain Home, Ark., attended an advanced surgical skills course at the Mayo Clinic. The course was entitled "The Unstable Elbow."

An advanced and intensive program, the course was designed for orthopaedic surgeons, particularly those with special interest in the elbow, upper extremity and trauma. Among the course topics were diagnosing elbow instability, treating acute elbow dislocations and fractures, performing acute ligament repairs and ligament reconstruction, and application of a hinged external fixator.

Dr. Knox obtained a maximum of 9.5 hours of Continuing Medical Education by attending the course sponsored by the Mayo Foundation. The Mayo Foundation is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.

Leading the course were Director Shawn O'Driscoll, M.D., Ph.D. and Co-Director Bernard F. Morrey, M.D.
